Invercargill eyes 61,300 people by 2037 as council weighs growth forecast
Invercargill City Council has been asked to build its 2027–2037 long-term plan on an optimistic Infometrics forecast of 0.5 per cent population growth a year, taking the city to 61,300 people by 2037 if Datagrid, wind farms and aquaculture deliver.
