Government puts $6 million into full replacement of Monowai bridge
A $6 million Regional Infrastructure Fund grant will let Southland District Council fully replace the 105-year-old Monowai suspension bridge over the Waiau River, lifting its weight limit from 28.5 to 50 tonnes by December 2027.
